When we first visited this property, one 12ft. by 18ft. section of the pool patio had cracked, broken, and had sunk 18 inches. The rest of the areas, contained by an existing fence, was just sloped, weed filled, beds of bark mulch.
This project began with research and engineering, to determine the cause of the subsurface erosion. Issue was found, remediations were made, and the issue was solved before any new work was begun.
The pool was in great shape, despite the patio, and everything else around the pool required a complete upgrade as well. A thoughtful and thorough design phase, working closely with the homeowner was completed.
This entire project was within a protected and regulated area. Permits from the Town and The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection were obtained by Landscape Oasis LLC.
The design created a variety of spaces for the family to enjoy. Obviously, the pool was the focus, as they have several energetic children, and it was integrated completely. At our suggestion, all of the plumbing and and pool equipment were upgraded, as is prudent when the opportunity arrives with a major makeover.

Clean lines and thoughtful placement of structural elements create natural connections between the house and the landscape. An artificial turf lawn connects all of the spaces providing great play spaces for the children and family dogs as well.
Patios and walks are crafted using concrete pavers. Repurposed and then hand chiseled granite steps connect the lower spaces to the house and driveway which is up the hill. Extensive, hand built, natural stone walls handle the grade change and define planting areas. Tucked within the setting, is a custom stone, outdoor fireplace with a paver patio for gathering.
Plantings are a mix of screening plants for privacy, as well as flowering trees, shrubs and perennials for seasonal interest.
